Vishesh Bhatt’s Awarapan 2 has stormed the global box office, grossing ₹120.86 crore worldwide in just three days, with overseas collections crossing US$2 million and counting. The film has simultaneously delivered a major career milestone — becoming the highest-grossing solo Emraan Hashmi film ever, within its opening weekend alone.
For Vishesh Bhatt, who conceived the film, built its creative foundation, and produced it entirely on his own conviction that Awarapan could be more than a single film, the numbers represent far more than a commercial achievement. When he first proposed making Awarapan 2, there was genuine uncertainty in the room — including from Emraan Hashmi himself. It was his belief in the world of Shivam Pandit, and his determination to tell the next chapter of that story the right way, that brought the film to screen. The global audience’s response is its own verdict on that decision.
The film delivered a blockbuster opening weekend in India, collecting ₹84.31 crore nett, while registering a strong international performance across key overseas markets:
