Following two acclaimed editions, The Filme Shilmy Show returns for its third instalment, spotlighting the talents of actor and writer Aditya Rawal in an intimate, live-audience conversation hosted by entertainment journalist Anuj Radia. The event will be held at Close-Up Film Centre, London, on Tuesday, 6th May 2025, at 3 PM and is co-produced by ReelN Ltd.
Aditya, the son of celebrated actor-writer Paresh Rawal and actress Swaroop Sampat, is fast emerging as one of India’s most compelling young voices in storytelling. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Aditya has penned and performed in several acclaimed works across stage and screen. His credits include Bamfaad (ZEE5), Aar Ya Paar (Disney+Hotstar), Faraaz (BFI London Film Festival, Netflix) and Bambai Meri Jaan (Prime Video), alongside the award-nominated stage production Siachen and the prize-winning play The Queen.
The third edition of The Filme Shilmy Show promises an enriching conversation about Aditya’s dynamic journey — from writing and performing to navigating themes of legacy, identity and artistic autonomy. Hence, this conversation hopes to inspire film enthusiasts and fans of Indian cinema.
“I’ve been asked by so many who attended previous editions of The Filme Shilmy Show when we will be returning, and it’s so exciting that the third edition is here! We have so many incredible conversations in store for you, providing an insight into film careers and experiences. The platform is to shed a spotlight on South Asian talent and provide learning experiences and opportunities,” says Aman Dhillon, Founder of ReelN Ltd. “I’m very excited to chat all things cinema, acting and writing with Anuj, whom I have known for a while, and this will be our first in-person interview. I’m very much looking forward to it,” says Aditya Rawal.
Presented by Filme Shilmy in collaboration with ReelN Ltd, the talk show continues to serve as a cultural platform that elevates South Asian talent by connecting artists directly with UK audiences. Previous guests have included celebrated filmmakers Pravesh Kumar MBE, Nathalia Syam and Dr Parvinder Shergill, as well as British Asian music legends Rishi Rich and Veronica Mehta.
