The prestigious BFI Flare is back for its 38th edition, taking place at BFI Southbank and on BFI Player from Wednesday 13th March to Sunday 24th March. The biggest LGBTQIA+ film festival in Europe, celebrates the best of queer cinema from around the globe. This year in particular features fantastic content from South Asian filmmakers, including British South Asian filmmakers.

The almost sold-out short film IFby acclaimed Bengali filmmaker Tathagata Ghosh will be showing with India’s 1st Best Trans Model Agency on Friday 22nd March 8:30pm and Saturday 23rd March 6:25pm.

The 26-minute short tells the story of a lesbian couple who are torn apart because of an arranged marriage, but with a mother’s love, perhaps another future is possible.
