Community Cinema
Welcome to REELN Community Cinema
A monthly affordable and accessible film club showcasing the best of South Asian film in North Hertfordshire. A mix of classics, new, independent, Bollywood, regional language, feature, short and documentary films taken directly to community venues to serve local communities. Special additions including filmmaker talks will be included where possible.
Kick-starting as a 10-month membership club in Letchworth with plans to expand to surrounding towns soon. All films will have English subtitles and appropriate licenses will be obtained for each screening.
Membership Terms
ReelN community cinema membership is available to anyone interested in South Asian film and it is the duty of each member to act in good faith.
An annual membership fee is payable.
All members should be adults i.e., aged 18 and above.
One person per membership will be permitted and must be the person who has registered as a member. Membership cannot be transferred.
ReelN can refuse an application for membership if it believes it is in the best interests of ReelN to do so. Reasons for refusal will be provided, and the applicant has a right of appeal.
Membership can be terminated if any membership fee required has not been paid by the designated date. ReelN can also decide if a member should be removed from membership should it be in the best interests of ReelN.
Members may be asked to provide proof of membership on entry to the community cinema events.
Carers are able to attend free of charge if they are supporting the member.
Members accept responsibility for their own insurance and personal belongings at events.
Members will only be able to join from July – August each year and will be provided a list of available film titles to select from. Members will have a say on what films they would like to see.
Membership will start from September to June, showing one film a month.
The membership fee is £90 for the ten-month period providing one member entry to the once-a-month community cinema event only and not for other events organised by ReelN Ltd.
Membership will only be valid in the community cinema club in the town you have registered for, currently, this is Letchworth Garden City.
Should members miss any film events in the 10-month period members will not be entitled to a membership or event refund.
Members must complete the Membership Form on the reeln.co.uk website AND register on the event booking page to book their seats and confirm their attendance. The £90 fee must be paid in full before the first screening in September.
We will not be taking on any new members from September to June, any non-members wishing to
attend an event will be subject to availability and a higher entry fee.
